Visiting regulations
For Your Comfort and Protection
This regulation applies in its entirety to:
- Visitors of Maison d’Illusion,
- Individuals or groups authorized to use certain premises for meetings, receptions, conferences, concerts, shows, or various ceremonies,
- Anyone unrelated to the services but present on-site, even for professional purposes.
At all times, these individuals must comply with the instructions of reception and security staff, as well as the broader personnel of the establishment.
Public areas include inner courtyards, the reception area, the shop, the hall, and the areas showcasing permanent and temporary collections, accessible after ticket control.
1. Opening Hours
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM – 6:00 PM.
- Exceptions: The establishment may close temporarily due to high attendance, disruptions, strikes, lack of staff, or any situation compromising safety or security.
Maison d’Illusion reserves the right to modify opening hours, offer free access to certain activities (guided tours, workshops, concerts), and notify the public through various communication channels (posters, announcements, etc.).
2. Entry and Access
- Admission is subject to holding a valid ticket or invitation. Tickets are non-refundable or exchangeable and valid only on the day of issue.
- To streamline visitor flow, re-entry is not permitted once you leave.
- Tickets are sold up to one hour before closing time.
A maximum of 30 visitors may be allowed inside simultaneously. If exceeded, a waiting line may be implemented.
3. Behavior and Prohibitions
In exhibition rooms, it is prohibited to:
- Drink, eat, smoke, run, or speak loudly.
Prohibited items include:
- Animals (except guide dogs).
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives, flammable substances, and any hazardous or noxious items.
- Large or noisy objects, luggage, backpacks, shopping bags; only small handbags are allowed.
- Sharp, pointed, or blunt objects (walking sticks with tips are allowed for mobility-impaired individuals).
- Skates, scooters, helmets, or similar items.
It is forbidden to intentionally destroy or damage any furniture, property, or objects displayed, as per Article 322-2 of the Penal Code.
4. Photography and Media
- Photography and filming for private use are allowed. Recording or capturing staff or visitors requires prior consent.
- Media outlets must request authorization at least five working days in advance, specifying their purpose and the resources used.
5. Security and Surveillance
- The establishment is under video surveillance in accordance with applicable laws (Law no. 95-73 of 21/01/95 and Decree no. 96-926 of 17/10/96).
- Visitors may be asked to open their bags or parcels for inspection by staff.
- Compliance with safety instructions is mandatory, especially during alarms or evacuation procedures.
6. Responsibility
- Maison d’Illusion accepts no liability for theft or loss of personal belongings.
- Lost items are kept for 15 days and can be retrieved at the reception desk with proper identification.
7. Personal Data
- Personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Details are available on the Maison d’Illusion website under “GDPR Compliance Statement.”
Sanctions
Failure to comply with these regulations may result in expulsion from the premises and possible legal proceedings.
